How Pornography Fuels Child Trafficking
Many believe pornography is a private, harmless act, but it is a driving force behind child trafficking.
Pornography creates an insatiable demand for more extreme content. As consumers seek new highs, traffickers exploit children to produce videos and images that feed this demand. Each click fuels an industry that often hides the abuse, coercion, and trafficking of minors behind screens.
Research shows that traffickers use pornography as a grooming tool, desensitizing children and normalizing sexual acts to lower their defenses. Children are also forced into pornography themselves, with images shared across the world, making rescue and healing even harder.
The link is clear: where there is demand, there will be supply. Every time someone views pornography, they contribute to the global exploitation of vulnerable people, including children. By choosing not to consume pornography, we disrupt the cycle and protect those at risk.
It’s time to recognize pornography for what it truly is—a pipeline that feeds the demand for sexual exploitation and trafficking of children.
