Heavenly Father,
We cry out to you for the women, men, and children around the world who are being help captive. You are a God of miracles. You are a healer, restorer, and life-giver. We know that you can bring life, purpose, and joy back to your children who have had the years stolen away. We declare that instead of their former shame, all those enslaved will receive a double portion and everlasting joy will be theirs. Put a new song in their mouths.
We ask for justice to those who have trafficked your children. You are good and forgiving, abounding in steadfast love. We ask for authorities to locate, arrest, prosecute, and sentence these lawbreakers and that they would come to know Jesus as their Lord and Savior.
God, help the public to see this as a problem for us all, not just those directly touched by slavery. As hard as it is to see and hear the truth of what happens to these victims, we ask that you would help to increase awareness. Show us how this is not only a problem overseas, but right here in our own cities. Open the eyes and ears of your people and touch their hearts to to be a voice in the community. Wake up your children!
